Auburn Coach Hugh Freeze Addresses Michael Oher's Lawsuit Against Tuohy Family

Freeze Coached Oher at Briarcrest Christian School, Served as Assistant

Auburn Head Coach Expresses Love for Both Parties, Believes Facts Will Emerge

Auburn head football coach Hugh Freeze spoke like a man caught in the middle on Thursday when discussing his perspective on the ongoing legal saga of Michael Oher vs. Leigh Anne and Sean Tuohy.

Freeze was Oher's head coach at Briarcrest Christian School in Memphis, where Oher's story was later adapted into the popular film "The Blind Side." Freeze also served as an assistant coach with the Baltimore Ravens when Oher was drafted by the team in 2009.

"I love Michael Oher and I love the Tuohy family," Freeze said. "I've known them both for a long time and I care deeply about them both."

Oher recently filed a lawsuit against the Tuohys, alleging that they exploited his fame and fortune for their own personal gain. The Tuohys have denied the allegations, saying that they have always acted in Oher's best interests.

Freeze said that he believes the truth will come out in court.

"I don't know all the details of what happened," Freeze said. "But I do know that Michael is a good person and the Tuohys are good people. I believe the facts will come out and the truth will prevail."
