At Ole Miss, he led the Rebels to a 39-25 record from 2012 to 2016, including three bowl victories. He also had success at Liberty, going 34-15 in four seasons. However, Freeze's tenure at Ole Miss ended in disgrace in 2017 when he was fired for "personal misconduct." The allegations included making phone calls to escort services and misleading university officials about them.
